An Unknown Motorist Ran Over A Traffic Officer

An unknown motorist ran over a traffic officer while he was on official duty at an intersection linking the Arabian Gulf Road and Al-Aqsa Road near Shaab seaside area on Thursday, April 7. This incident is a replica of the traffic incident that took place during the National Days celebrations when some police officers were knocked down by a motorist.

When the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the hit-and-run accident, officers rushed to the location and trailed the suspect until they caught up with the suspect’s black Escalade jeep in Maidan Hawally area. The victim suffered from a fracture around the waist and was taken to Mubarak Hospital for treatment. Investigations have been launched in this regard.
