Amir, Abbas Hold Official Talks

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received Tuesday at Bayan Palace President Mahmoud Abbas, President of the State of Palestine and his accompanying delegation.

The official talks were held between the two sides, where the Kuwaiti side was chaired by His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and senior officials of the State, whereas the Palestinian side was chaired by President Mahmoud Abbas and senior government officials.

Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah said that the talks dealt over bilateral relations and means of boosting them in various fields and expanding cooperation frameworks between the two countries in a way that serves their common interests.

The talks were held in a cordial atmosphere and keenness of both sides to bolster cooperation and coordination at all levels, he added. His Highness the Amir later held a luncheon banquet in honor of President Mahmoud Abbas at the Bayan Palace. President Abbas later on Tuesday left Kuwait following his official visit. He was seen off at the airport by Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah
