Ambassador Discussed Issues Of Stranded Indians With Assistant Foreign Minister For Consular Affairs

Indian Ambassador Sri Sibi George held a virtual conference with H E Ambassador Sami Abdulaziz Al-Hamad, Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs and discussed issues related to Indian expatriates in Kuwait.

Issues of stranded Indians abroad, Vaccination related concerns were discussed with the Minister. Large number of Indians are stranded in India and other third countries due to the continuous ban on expatriates to the country. The ban on expatriates to enter Kuwait still continues. Lately Kuwait have announced that the four vaccines are only approved in Kuwait. However the majority of Indians who are stranded in India took Covaxin and Covishield .

Ambassador also discussed the issues related to the Indian Engineers in Kuwait with the minister. Other bilateral issues and issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the virtual meeting.
