Ambassador Discussed Engineers Issues With Ministry Of Oil Under Secretary

Indian Ambassador Sri Sibi George continues his engagement with Kuwaiti authorities to enhance the strong relationship between the two countries.

Ambassador met H.E. Sheikh Dr. Nimr Fahad Al-Malik Al-Sabah, Under Secretary for the Ministry of Oil and discussed various opportunities for enhancing collaboration between India and Kuwait.

Ambassador also discussed various issues effecting the Indian community including the early return of oil sector employees and their families to Kuwait, who are stranded in India due to the current pandemic. Ambassador also discussed the renewal of residencies of Indian engineers in oil sector who are effected by the decision related to the KSE accreditation of engineering certificate. Various other issues including diaspora matter, emergency medical supplies from Kuwait to India, and matters of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting.

In a separate meeting, Ambassador also called on H.E. Sheikha Mona Jabir Al-Abdullah Al-Jabir Al-Sabah, Head of Centre for Historical Document and Museums Center, Al Diwan Al Amiri and discussed the cultural relations between India and Kuwait in the context of 60th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations.

Indian Embassy is planning a series of events to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between India and Kuwait this year.
