Al-sabah Hospital, Cancer Center Contracts Extended

The Ministry of Health recently received preliminary approval from the Central Agency for Public Tenders to extend the contract for the design, construction, medical equipment, furnishing, and operational maintenance of the Kuwait Cancer Control Center project for an additional 13 months, beginning January 23, 2022 and ending February 22, 2023.

According to a local Arabic daily citing informed sources, the ministry has received approvals for the sixth extension of the design, construction, medical equipment, furnishing, and operational maintenance project for the new Al-Sabah Hospital, indicating that the extension will be accomplished by extending the main contractor's contract from April 18, 2020, to November 17, 2022, at no cost.

According to the sources, the prior extension cost 1.2 million dinars and included project management services, management, and monitoring from February 18, 2020, to February 28, 2021.
