Al-otaibi Denied Entrance To New Municipal Council Building

Chairman of the Municipal Council Osama Al-Otaibi criticized the decision to prevent him and other members of the Municipal Council from inspecting and checking on progress in the new Municipal Council building.

As reported by a local Arabic daily, Al-Otaibi said to reporters Tuesday that preventing the Municipal Council president and members from entering their building would lead to a dangerous precedent. He claimed the Minister of Municipality did not have the right to prevent council members from seeing the progress of their work.

A number of Al-Otaibi's reservations about the actions taken by the municipal executive body were expressed. He emphasized that the conduct was unacceptable.

Apparently, the Municipality's executive team refused to let its members enter the building because the contractor hadn't officially presented it.
