All Eligible For 2nd Dose Of ‘astrazeneca Oxford’ Vaccinated
The Ministry of Health has finished vaccinating all those who were eligible to receive the second dose of the ‘AstraZeneca Oxford’ vaccine while at the same time announcing the launch of the fourth phase of the mobile vaccination units against the Covid-19 pandemic. The Director of the Central Department for Primary Health Care at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Dina Al-Dhubaib said during the fourth phase all employees of the Kuwaiti Public Transport Company, who number about 2,000 drivers, have been vaccinated. She explained during this stage the MoH also plans to vaccinate workers in fuel companies who are scattered over all the regions of Kuwait, as well those working for security and guard companies and workers in consumer companies.
She indicated the start of vaccinating pregnant and lactating women, in addition to the start of giving the first dose to domestic workers in parallel with other groups in society. She said during the next phase all people working in restaurants and involved in consumer services will be vaccinated. Meanwhile, informed sources told the Al-Seyassah daily that the fourth batch of the ‘Oxford’ — estimated to be more than 260,000 doses – has arrived from Russia and will be distributed to vaccination centers in primary care health care and the Kuwait Vaccination Center in Mishref.
