Al-kandari Urges Parents To Report Drug-addict Children For Treatment
Major General Tawhid Al-Kandari, Director-General of the Public Relations and Security Media Department at the Ministry of Interior, has urged parents to notify the appropriate authorities if their children use drugs so that they can be effectively treated, cared for, and rehabilitated without viewing this action as setting a precedent for criminal behavior.
This occurred in the Avenues Mall during the opening of the Wuyak (With You) awareness exhibition, which was organized by the Public Relations and Security Media Department in collaboration with Zain Communications Company and the Kuwait Cartoon Society.
The show included participation from the departments in charge of drug control, investigations, forensics, and addiction therapy. Indicating the possibility of receiving inquiries on the emergency phone (112), the hotline of the Directorate-General for Drug Control on phone number 1884141, or through the Ministry of Interior on websites, he emphasized that the administration's doors are open for parents to ask questions about drugs.
He emphasized that the exhibition aims to improve public communication in order to achieve integration in the efforts made by official agencies and community institutions, as well as to enhance comprehensive awareness of the dangers of drugs and psychotropic substances, and their dangerous negative effects on the individual and society.
