Al- Kandari Said, Those Caught Speeding Will Be Detained For 48 Hours And The Vehicle Will Be Seized
The Director of Security Information Brigadier Tawheed Al-Kandari has warned motorists to abide by the speed limits on roads and highways, reports Al-Rai daily.
In a statement to the daily, Al- Kandari said, those caught speeding will be detained for 48 hours and the vehicle will be seized.
He pointed out the purpose of the traffic cameras installed on the roads is to reduce accidents. Al-Kandari has called on parents to keep an eye on their children and ensure that they follow the road signs and obey traffic rules.
He stressed the traffic men are keen to protect the road users (pedestrians) and other motorists. Meanwhile, the Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) with the cooperation of Public Security Sector and Environment Public Authority launched an inspection campaign to nab violators of safety regulations in Qurain Market area.
According to a press release, a number of warnings were issued during the campaign, after violations in public markets and restaurants were detected and studied. A decision will be issued to close down places where such violations can lead to serious dangers. The campaign was conducted in the presence of Director of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Fire Department Brigadier Muhammad Al- Mehaimeed and high-ranking officials from various ministries and government offices.
