Ahmadi Securitymen Seized Six Vehicles And Issued 50 Traffic Citations

Ahmadi securitymen launched security campaigns in Wafra and Sabahiya area during which they seized six vehicles and issued 50 traffic citations. According to security sources, Ahmadi Security Director Brigadier Abdullah Safa formed two security teams based on instructions from the Acting Assistant Undersecretary of Ministry of Interior Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah to launch sudden campaigns for arresting reckless drivers and violators of traffic laws in the two above mentioned areas. Among the six vehicles that were seized, one had a GCC number plate and was being used for performing stunts. The sources affirmed campaigns against violators of traffic rules and regulations will continue.

The General Department of Public Relations and Security Media said the Interior Ministry in the framework of continuous efforts to tighten security and arrest the outlaws a security campaign was organized in Khairan, reports Al- Jarida daily.
 
The campaign resulted in detecting seven drugs cases, arrest of four disoriented persons, 10 people wanted in civil cases, eight for not carrying identification papers, impounded five vehicles, 10 motorcycles and ATVs and issued 415 traffic citations. The Director-General of Public Relations and Security Media said the ministry will continue to organize surprise security and traffic campaigns to achieve the desired goal and appealed to all citizens and residents not to hesitate to contact 112, the emergency phone.

3 hurt in fight: Three Arab expatriates sustained injuries during a quarrel between them in Hawally area. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the quarrel, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location. The three suspects were referred to Mubarak Hospital for treatment. Investigations revealed that an argument among them over a longstanding dispute developed into a physical fight. Securitymen took necessary action. Meanwhile, a Syrian expatriate reported at Ishbiliya Police Station that a taxi driver attacked him during an argument between them. Using the description of the taxi, securitymen conducted a search and found the taxi driver who turned out to be a Pakistani expatriate. He was referred to the concerned authorities for investigations.
