About 20000 Children Of Kuwaiti Women Looking For Jobs In The Govt Sector
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is working on setting up a mechanism for implementing the amendment decree of the civil service which gives priority to the children of Kuwaiti women, after Kuwaiti applicants, for appointments in ministries and other governmental establishments, reports Al-Anba daily quoting informed sources affiliated to CSC. They revealed that there are about 20,000 children of Kuwaiti women who are seeking jobs.
The sources explained that the Employment Affairs Committee of CSC have been studying the administrative, legal and structural regulations for setting up a comprehensive mechanism to register the children of Kuwaiti women through online employment services of CSC, which is separate from the system that registers Kuwaitis, as a preliminary step to-wards announcing the registration schedule.
The committee consists of Undersecretary of CSC Mohammad Al-Roumi, Assistant Undersecretary for Administration and Finance Bader Al-Hamad, Assistant Undersecretary for Legal Affairs Nahla Naji, Assistant Undersecretary for Scholarships Tareq Al-Khaled, Recruitment Director Rateb Al-Taarifan, Director of IT Department Sabeeka Al-Waqyan and Director of Public Relations Department Jassem Al-Roweis.
Mechanism
Regarding whether the same mechanism will be used for employing children of Kuwaiti women married to non-Kuwaitis and Bedoun residents, the sources said the decree has been issued for giving priority to the children of Kuwaiti women and non-Kuwaiti men, adding that the conditions of the available positions will be taken into consideration during the interview process.
They explained that the most important conditions are that the applicant should be at least a diploma holder and there shouldn’t be any Kuwaitis in the waiting list for the targeted position.
The standards of preference will be implemented on the nominees. These standards are aimed to achieve the desired transparency and, at the same time, take into account the social consideration of the nominees in the list. The automated system used in this process will ensure fairness and objectivity. These are the aspects sought by the committee.
