A Kuwaiti Woman Fears For Lives Of Daughter And Son
50-year-old Kuwaiti woman complained to the Ardhiya Police Station, that she fears for her son that one day he will commit suicide or kill her 28-year-old daughter because of his recklessness, reports Al-Anba daily. She told the police “I do not want my son to kill himself and repeat what happened in Umm al-Hayman recently.”
The mother told the Ardhiya police her son carries a gun. The daughter who accompanied her mother to the police station said her brother repeatedly assaults her and has even threatened to kill her. The mother is said to have handed over to the police the gun which allegedly belongs to her son.
A security source said personnel from the Farwaniya Criminal Investigation (CID) who were asked to investigate the case disclosed what actually happened was a family dispute and a verbal quarrel between the mother and the daughter and the son following which the latter threatened his mother and sister.
The source said the son has been arrested and he admitted that the gun which has been handed over to the police is his and that he has a licence to carry the weapon, however, the licence expired last October and it has not been renewed. The young man and the investigations department confirmed he did not intend to use the gun.
