As part of the government's efforts to minimize the impacts of the Russian-Ukrainian war, there is a trend to stabilize the costs of energy subsidies.

According to a local Arabic daily, the committee formed in this regard will examine various types of state subsidies provided by the Ministry of Finance, which is responsible for reviewing the prices of subsidized commodities and will most likely make a decision to stabilize the prices of subsidized commodities.

According to the sources, the price stabilization will apply to all commodities on the subsidy list, including gasoline, diesel, and gas cylinders.

According to a decision by the Council of Ministers, the committee will re-examine the various types of subsidies this month and assess the pricing, as is customary every three months, to ensure subsidy rationalization and monitoring of the effects of new prices.

According to Kuwait's fuel price bulletin, gasoline (excellent – 91 octane) costs 85 fils per liter, gasoline (special – 95 octane) costs 105 fils per liter, diesel costs 115 fils per liter, and kerosene costs 115 fils per liter, while the price of gasoline (Ultra – 98 octane) costs 200 fils per liter instead of 180 fils.
