A Bangladeshi Expat Hits Syrian On Head With Metal Rod

A Bangladeshi expatriate was arrested for hitting a Syrian expatriate on the head with a metal rod, due to which the latter lost consciousness and sustained a serious head injury.

According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about a fight between two expatriates in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area, securitymen rushed to the location to discover that the fight occurred between a Bangladeshi and a Syrian.

The Bangladeshi had escaped after hitting the Syrian on the head with a metal rod. The latter became unconscious and was bleeding profusely from his head because of which one of the passersby took him immediately to Farwaniya Hospital. Securitymen rushed to the hospital and discovered that the Syrian was admitted and is undergoing medical treatment. They conducted investigations which eventually led to the arrest of the Bangladeshi suspect. The latter is being detained at the police station until the Syrian is discharged after which the investigations will resume.
