Sponsors To Bear Deportation Costs Of Violating Maids

Assistant Undersecretary for Nationality and Passports Affairs at the Ministry of Interior Major-General Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah has summoned the sponsors of five Ethiopian maids who were arrested during a raid for running an illusory maids recruiting office, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added, the five are residence and labor laws violators. According to police investigations the five were offering maids for temporary employment and securitymen acting on a tip-off set a trap and arrested the women. The daily added, they have been referred for interrogations and their sponsors have been summoned to bear the legal and deportation costs.
