17 August 2021 Kuwait

While Kuwait is moving towards attaining community immunity by vaccinating about 70% of its population against the epidemic, the campaign to immunize children between 12 and 15 years continues in full swing without any obstacles.

According to the local Arabic daily Al-Qabas, more than 90,000 children between the age group of 12 to 15 are vaccinated in the country with either first or both doses. A total of about 110,000 children were registered for vaccination in this age group.

The report also said that the targeted children in this group is about 280,000 and those who registered to date represents only 40% of them. The vaccine is giving to those who registered within 48 hours of completing the registration.

The Ministry of Health is focusing its efforts on completing the vaccination of children before the start of return of students to school on October 3.
