8 Doctors Referred To Administrative Investigation
Kuwait Municipality has revealed that it conducted five investigations in legal departments concerning violations of encroachments on State properties in Jahra Governorate, and those responsible have been referred to the Public Prosecution, reports Al-Qabas daily.
This was specified in the response to a parliamentary question submitted by MP Abdulaziz Al-Muajal about the seized State properties. The response indicated that the number of encroachments on State properties in Jahra Governorate are 21 sites with total area reaching nearly 1,409,000 square meters.
These violations include offices, stores, labor accommodations and asphalt factories, all of which did not obtain relevant licenses from Kuwait Municipality. Some of them are part of governmental projects.
Meanwhile, health sources disclosed that eight doctors from the nuclear medicine division have been referred to administrative investigation on allegations of technical and administrative irregularities, denying recent rumors circulated that those doctors were referred for investigation due to a press conference they held to protest the decision of merging the division with the Department of Medical Imagining, reports Al-Rai daily.
Sources said the aforementioned claims and allegations are contrary to the reality, noting the Legal Affairs Department received referral letter on Nov 24 to investigate the doctors, while the said press conference was held on 25th of the same month, proving the allegation invalid as regards trampling on their freedom of expression.
They reiterated the doctors are under investigation for irregularities related to old orders unused by the division, as well as fees collected for medical imaging.
