77,000 Dinars In Fines Are Collected By Pam For Sponsors Of Domestic Workers
During the previous month, the Public Authority for Manpower received 17 complaints from sponsors regarding domestic workers hired through the Recruitment Regulating Domestic Workers Department. According to the figures, the department received 183 complaints from sponsors filed against offices or companies, and 181 labor complaints against business owners.
According to reports, the administration referred 63 labor complaints to the judiciary, including 8 complaints from employers about employees leaving work, 37 complaints from employees about their travel credentials being held, and 290 concerns were resolved peacefully between workers and sponsors.
The administration collected 1,780 dinars for the PAM and 77,000 dinars from recruitment offices for the benefit of employers, according to the statistic. The daily further stated that the overall number of recruitment offices had reached 420, with 42 being issued in March of last year and 5 having their licenses suspended.
