71 Pct Of Kuwaitis Employed Last 2 Months In Private Sector - Mgrp Statistics
Among the Kuwaiti citizens who received employment this year, 71.4 percent of them are in the private sector and the remaining in the public sector, reports Al-Qabas daily. According to statistics issued by Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP), more than 720 Kuwaiti citizens of different educational qualifications were appointed in the private sector in the last two months, while 288 Kuwaiti citizens were appointed in the public sector during this period. A total of 95,971 Kuwaiti citizens have been appointed in the private sector since the inception of MGRP in 2001 until 2018.
More than 11,501 citizens who do not have jobs, do not receive pension or are not registered in any educational institutes have registered for jobs in the last six months. The statistics reveal that 5,042 Kuwaiti citizens were employed in the private sector and 5,826 in the public sector in the year 2017. In 2016, 6,428 citizens were employed in the private sector and 5,826 in the public sector.
