682 New Coronavirus Infections In Kuwait, Total At 70,727, 2 Deaths

The Ministry of Health announced 682 new coronavirus infections, raising the total to 70,727 while 2 deaths was reported raising the number fatalities to 471.

The ministry’s spokesman, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, said that among the 682 cases, 461 Kuwaiti citizens, a rate of 67.6 percent, and 221 expats, a rate of 32.4 percent. He stated that the breakdown according to regions, was 176 cases in Ahmadi, 152 in Farwaniya, 130 in Al-Jahra, 118 in Hawalli, and 106 in the Capital.

He indicated that the number of people receiving medical care in the intensive care departments reached 124 cases, bringing the total number of all cases confirmed to have (Covid-19) disease and are still receiving the necessary medical care to 7926 cases,

He indicated that the number of swabs that were performed during the past 24 hours amounted to 4,086 swabs, bringing the total to 526,286 tests.

Earlier today, MoH announced the recovery of 720 infections during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries from (Covid-19) to 62,330 cases.
