670 New Covid-19 Infections, One Death

Kuwait's health ministry reported 670 new Coronavirus cases on Sunday, bringing the total to 623,159 since the pandemic began. The Ministry of Health spokesperson, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, confirmed to KUNA that 928 new recoveries had been recorded, bringing the recovery-infection ratio to 98.6%. According to Dr. Al-Sanad, one death was caused by the virus, bringing the death toll to 2,545. Additionally, he noted that there were 6,017 active cases, 32 of whom were in intensive care units (ICUs) and 179 patients were in covid-19 wards. Furthermore, Al-Sanad reported that 13,079 swab tests were conducted, bringing the total to 7,726,633, adding that the infection-test rate reached 5%.
