600- 700 Kuwaiti And Expat Inmates To Enjoy Amnesty

Assistant Undersecretary for Reform Institutions and Sentences Execution Affairs Major General Faraj Al-Za’abi announced that around 600- 700 Kuwaiti and expatriate inmates will be included in this year’s Amiri amnesty. Major General Al-Za’abi revealed this at the sidelines of an exhibition titled “Our handiworks” recently held at Souq Sharq.

He noted the strive to establish an applied education institute inside the prison for inmates to learn, noting the aim of exhibiting the handiworks is to keep inmates busy with what will benefit them in return. He revealed that the Ministry of Interior provides raw materials for inmates and collects 30 percent of the proceeds, indicating the value of cost and profit goes to the state coffers.
