60 Percent Of The Consumers Are Paying Their Electricity Bills Online Through Mew Web Site

Over 60 percent of the consumers are paying their electricity bills online through MEW web site and mobile application while the rest still pay them through MEW’s offices. According to MEW’s Technical Control Director Iqbal Al-Tayyar, as all GCC states are closing the physical offices for collecting bill, MEW also is planning the same and will allos only online payment.

The new power consumption rates of 25 fils per kilowatt for the government sector will take effect on Nov 22. All government bodies had been contacted and urged to change their illumination systems to use LED lights and special sensors to turn off lights in empty rooms and offices.
