6 Shelters Can House 1,500 Each
Director- General of the General Department of Civil Defense, Major-General Abdullah Al-Ali said six shelters have been built in each province with each having the capacity to accommodate between 800 and 1,500 persons.
Al-Ali said the shelters are built close to services such as cooperative societies, polyclinics and police stations and each of them is not less than 8,000 square meters.
Al-Ali added these shelters are for use in times of disasters and emergencies, while denying the need to establish more shelters at the moment.
