558 New Covid-19 Cases, One Death

Kuwait's ministry of health reported on Tuesday that one death and 558 infections have occurred in the past 24 hours, bringing the country's infection count to 620,452. According to ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, about 1,206 more people have recovered from the virus, bringing the number to 609,349 people who have overcome the disease. The ratio between positive cases and recoveries is 98 percent, Al-Sanad said. With the virus-related death, the total number of deaths in the country is now 2,539, while 8,564 people have been hospitalized for the virus, including 52 who require intensive care, Al-Sanad says. According to a spokesman, 17 936 swab tests have been conducted out of 766,329,8 total tests.
