500 Violating Camps Demolished
Lieutenant- General (Retd) Abdel Fattah Al-Ali who heads the field committee to ensure everyone adheres to health conditions imposed by the Council of Ministers and the health authorities, continues to visit shops and markets and also visits some areas to ensure no one pitches tents in violation of the law.
Al-Ali explained during inspection tours the committee has demolished about 500 violating camps off the Seventh Ring Road, Umm Safak Road, Rawdatain, and North Ahmadi. Al-Ali told Al-Seyassah daily the campaigns will continue unabated and all camps will fl attened irrespective of who pitches them because the law is applicable to all without discrimination.
However, he has issued a call to all those who may have put up tents to remove them as soon as possible to avoid falling foul with the law. He emphasized the committee, from last June until date has issued 10,624 citations, 29,701 warnings and closed 535 shops for violating the decisions of the Council of Ministers and the health committee.
Al-Ali added the committee works around the clock to implement health requirements, and a testimony of this is the number of violations and warnings it has issued; add to this the number of shops that have been closed. He called on citizens to inform the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior on 112 if they see any gathering or any event being held.
