5 Kuwaitis And 1 Egyptian Perish In Various Accidents

Some fatal accidents were witnessed during the weekend, claiming the lives of five Kuwaiti youth, including a military employee of Ministry of Defense, while an Egyptian expatriate died of asphyxiation in a fire accident.

One of the accidents occurred when a pickup van rammed into an electricity pole along Al-Zour Road leading to the death of four Kuwaitis within the age range of 16 and 30 years. Six other occupants of the vehicle sustained serious injuries throughout their bodies and were rushed to Al- Adan Hospital for treatment.

A case has been registered for investigation. In another accident, an officer of rank “Master Sergeant” lost his life when a military bulletproof Hummer jeep collided with a tractor on Al-Artal Road. A case has been registered.

Meanwhile, an Egyptian construction worker suffered from asphyxiation leading to his death in a cement factory at Abdali area. The police have begun investigation to determine causes of the accident. The corpses of all victims were referred to the Forensics Department
