Ministry of Electricity and Water has sent two lists containing the names of 497 employees to the Public Institution for Social Security for its opinion on whether these employees deserve full pension before terminating their services for exceeding 30 years of service, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to a source from the ministry, the first list contains 180 employees in supervisory positions such as directors, supervisors, and heads of departments. The second list includes all employees over the age of 50 years, and their number is 317. Therefore, the total number of employees referred to the Public Institution for Social Security for clarification related to pension before terminating their services is 497 employees.
The source said the ministry is awaiting the response of the Public Institution for Social Security in order to complete the rest of the procedures, indicating that ending the services of supervisory job holders at once requires ministry officials to fill their vacant positions after the formation of the new government.
