3rd Constituency Candidate Calls To Stop Publishing Misleading Analyses
Abd Al- Rahman Al-Misfer Al-Ajmi who is contesting the 2020 National Assembly elections from the Third Constituency, has called for putting an end to what he called “unprofessional and misleading electoral analyzes that are published by the electoral “machinery” on “Twitter” and some other social media and satellite channels saying what has been published are exaggerations of statistics which favor some candidates.
Municipality workers continue to remove hoardings put up illegally by candidates taking part in the Kuwaiti parliamentary elections on Dec 5, 2020
Al-Ajmi indicated in a statement to the Al-Seyassah daily that these “shops” practice deception for a fee in favor of a number of candidates, which affects the chances of other candidates. He stressed on the importance of pursuing the vote-buying process, especially in the Third Constituency which happens in a crude manner, and this necessitates the interference of the Ministry of Interior to put an end to this phenomenon and prosecute everyone who contributes to its spread and hold accountable those who accept bribe, especially since this phenomenon has a negative effect on the Kuwaiti democracy.
Negative
Al-Ajmi said another negative impact in this constituency is what he called ‘fake vote transfer processes, pointing out that the spread of these negativities could lead to many citizens staying away from the upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education has confirmed the allocation of 102 schools as polling stations and five schools for the main committees during the 2020 parliamentary elections on Dec 5, reports Al-Qabas daily. Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Affairs Youssef Al-Najjar said the ministry formed a higher committee and sub-committees tasked to cover everything needed for the elections immediately after the issuance of a decree calling for the National Assembly elections. He added the ministry is closely coordinating with its justice counterpart and other concerned authorities daily to fully equip the schools and prepare them for the elections.
He affirmed the principals, engineering affairs director and public service inspectors will be present on election day to deal with any emergency in schools, indicating all the employees and officials of the ministry report for work on this day. He said an agreement has been reached with Kuwait Municipality to clean the external yards of the schools after election day, so they will be ready for the resumption of work after the holiday.
