34 Million Dollors Spent For The Release Of 12 Kuwaitis Who Detained In Guantanamo Bay Prison

Kuwait spent a total of $34 million during the period between 2002 and 2016 for the release of 12 Kuwaitis who were detained in Guantanamo Bay prison, reports Al- Rai daily. These payments were made to law firms and attorneys whose names were been revealed by the daily. The highest sum, $7 million, was paid in 2007, followed by $3.536 million, which Kuwait paid in 2010, $3.4 million in 2014, $3.274 in 2011, $3.23 million in 2009, $3 million in 2008, $2 million in 2005 and 2013, $1.5 million in 2012, $1.4 million in 2016, $1.3 million in 2003, $1 million in 2004, $841,000 in 2015 and $700,000 in 2002. The 12 Kuwaiti prisoners of Guantanamo Bay.
