300 Kuwaiti Employees Working In The Mayors Offices Shifted

Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs at the Ministry of Interior Major-General Talal Marafie has issued a decision this week to transfer about 300 Kuwaiti employees, who were working in the Mayors’ offices (Mukhtariyat) to a number of ministry departments, reports Al-Anba daily.

According to a security source, the decision has come into immediate effect and the employees have already moved to various departments at the ministry’s headquarters.

The decision was issued following reports these employees did not carry out their duties and that a number of them were outside Kuwait although records showed they were on duty. It is noteworthy that the number of employees at the Mukhtariyat exceeds 600 and some of them will be moved to other sectors in the ministry.
