30 Syrians Out On Bail In Driving License Forgery Case

21 November 2018 Crime News

The Court of Appeals yesterday suspended the execution of the Criminal Court verdict which had sentenced 30 Syrians to a prison term in a forgery case and ordered their release on 100 dinars each bail until the dismissal of the case, reports Al-Anba daily.

The case will be looked into on Jan 7, 2019. The Criminal Court earlier sentenced the defendants to three years imprisonment with labor to be followed by deportation after they were accused of falsifying a ‘To Whom It May Concern’ certificate. The suspect had allegedly forged the certificates issued by their embassy in Kuwait to help them obtain driving licenses.
