3 New Territories In The Top Hit List
New residential areas: Al-Sabahiya, Al-Firdaws, and Al-Fahaheel, entered the list of regions with the highest rates of coronavirus in the country. The entry to these areas, alongside the Saad Al-Abdullah area, was a sign of the danger of the continuing “corona” outbreak among Kuwaiti citizens, and the number of its infections continued to increase among them.
June 15 The Ministry of Health announced, Monday, 511 new infections of the coronavirus (COVID-19), raising the total to 36,431.
Deaths reached 298 with the addition of two fatalities. Official Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, Dr Abdullah Al-Sanad said in a press conference that the 551 infections included 234 Kuwaitis, 81 Indians, 53 Egyptians and the rest of other nationalities. Currently, there are 184 patients receiving treatment at intensive care wards, Dr Al-Sanad revealed. The health authorities conducted 2,775 swabs in the past 24 hours, raising the whole count to 337,387 Dr Al-Sanad added.
Meanwhile new areas like Fardous with 21 cases, Sabahiya with 29 and Saad Al Abdullah with 20 cases entered the list of highest infections.
Earlier, the Health Ministry announced the recovery of 772 people from the coronavirus, bringing the tally to 27,531. The ministry added, in a statement to KUNA, that the recoveries number was based on medical tests, which proved that the patients were now virus-free.
