17 June 2020 Coronavirus

The administration of the mosques in the governorates of Ahmadi, Mubarak Al-Kabeer and Al-Jahra closed three mosques after discovering two infection cases from corona virus, two cases related to one of the imam in the Ahmadi suburb of Sabah Al-Ahmad and a muezzin in a mosque in the suburb of Sabah Al-Salem and third the mosque in Jahra due to lack of commitment to adhere to precautionary measures .

A source in the Ministry of Awqaf stated that the relevant authorities closed the two mosques and ordered that they be sterilized and summon those in the mosque to conduct their medical checks, noting that the management of mosques in the two governorates stressed that everyone who goes to the mosques should strictly adhere to the ministry’s instructions and that who feels that they are sick should not come to the mosques to pray but pray at his home, as he should not be the reason for closing the rest of the mosques and transmitting the disease to other worshipers.
