The Minister of State for Services Affairs and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs, Mubarak Al-Haris said three senior officials working for the Directorate- General of Civil Aviation have been referred to the Anti- Corruption Authority (Nazaha) on suspicion of wasting public money, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The daily added, the officials were suspended from work last June and a committee was formed to look into the issue. The committee is headed by the Fatwa and Legislation Department to investigate their failure in their duties, which caused the state to lose millions of dinars. The suspension of the employees came as a result of loss suffered by the civil aviation sector to the tune of 8.5 million dinars which is contained in a court verdict.
