Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday corresponding to February 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th will be a holiday on the occasion of the National Day, Liberation Day and the Isra’ and Mi’raj, local daily reported.
This year the Isra and Mi’raj holiday coincides with Saturday, February 18, and there is a decision in effect to transfer the Isra’ and Mi’raj holiday to the following Thursday and if the cabinet decided to shift the Saturday holiday to following Thursday, the Thursday February 23rd will be a rest day.
Monday, February 27, will be considered as a day of rest as a substitute for Saturday February 25th. However thsi requires a decision from the Council of Ministers.
The new year holiday will be for three days including Friday, Saturday and Sunday ie December 30 and 31 and January 1, respectively, with work officially resuming on Monday, January 2.
