23,000 Kuwaitis Registered For Work In 2021
A report issued by the National Labor Sector of the Public Authority for Manpower show about 23 thousand Kuwaitis last year have shown desire to work, 45.5% of them in the private sector, and 44.5% in the government sector.
According to the report, a copy of which has been obtained by Al-Qabas, the percentage of those desiring to work in the private sector increased during 2021 by more than 12% compared to 2020.
The daily added, PAM has offered a range of jobs to Kuwaitis in the private sector companies, most notably in the field of aviation as cabin crew, senior scheduler specialist for hospitality crew members, schedules experts.”
Among the offered jobs are also for “driver” with one of the companies, provided the applicant holds an intermediate certificate, while vacancies are for university graduates, starting with jobs in the engineering specialization (civil, electrical, mechanics), and administrative jobs starting with general manager and deputy director-general, head of branches and accountant.
Cumulatively, the total numbers of job seekers who are registered with PAM and are jobless until January 2022 are 16,221 citizens, who do not receive any monetary benefits and are not registered with any educational institution compared to last December which was 690 citizens, most of them graduates.
