22-year-old Kuwaiti Arrested For Committing Several Thefts

The plainclothes policemen affiliated to the Farwaniya Governorate have arrested an unidentified 22-year-old Kuwaiti for committing several thefts and handed him over to the concerned authority, reports Al- Rai daily. According to a security source, the arrest came after an Egyptian filed a complaint with the Ardhiya Police Station accusing a young man of robbing him. He said the suspect challenged him, got behind the wheel and escaped with his vehicle containing KD 1,200 and prepaid telephone cards. The security sources said the Farwaniya police suspected the young man and put him under surveillance and began monitoring his movements. After he was arrested on suspicion police found in his possession 735 stolen prepaid telephone cards and a kind of device which he used in committing theft. During interrogation he is said to have admitted to committing a series of thefts.
