20 Years After Her Birth, A Saudi Woman Realizes She Is Male

According to Saudi media, a Saudi woman realized she was a male after 20 years of birth due to a 'medical mistake.

Al Ekhbariya TV reports that the Saudi citizen was totally unaware of the male private parts hidden within her abdomen.

In the state hospital in Riyadh where he was born, she had genital deformities. In contrast, the family named the baby Randa after the doctors believed she was a girl.

Her peers developed signs of female puberty around her, so Randa became suspicious as she grew. Her male genitalia were hidden in her abdomen when she went to a hospital for a thorough checkup.

"I had a completely strange feeling when I first woke up, as if they had been lying to me. The situation seemed out of place to me, as if I were starting all over again. The new name, the new identity, the lack of friends, the lack of relatives," Randa said.

A surgery is supposed to be conducted to remove my hidden genitals. According to my doctor, the surgery will need to be performed in the UK. “However, my travel documents were rejected by the authorities,” Randa said.

In a reported interview with Al Ekhbariya TV, Randa's family claimed that they complained to the former Saudi health minister, but nothing was done. It has not been possible to get in touch with the hospital where Randa was born, according to the victim's father.
