2 Indians Held For Cheating A Kuwaiti For Tune Of Kd 27,000

Police are looking for an unidentified Indian for cheating a Kuwaiti, who is in his 50s, to the tune of more than 20,000 dinars, reports Al-Anba daily.

According to a complaint filed by the Kuwaiti with the Ahmadi Police Station, he said he knew the Indian through some contacts and the latter persuaded him to open a business to sell car spare parts and tires after convincing the Kuwaiti that he has vast experience in the trade.

The Kuwaiti told police after he invested the money, he did not hear of the Indian because his phone always remained switched off. He also said he is not aware if the suspect is in Kuwait or has already left the country.

Meanwhile, the Hawalli police have arrested an unidentified Indian for allegedly cheating a Kuwaiti and robbing him of KD 7,000, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the suspect lured the Kuwaiti to invest his money and promised quick returns. However, when the Kuwaiti inquired about his investment after a few months, he was shocked when the suspect told him that he had lost all the money due to bad economic conditions.
