While the Council of Ministers decided to postpone the second phase of the commercial operation plan to return commercial flights at Kuwait International Airport until further notice, a responsible source revealed to "Al-Qabas" that the commercial operation rates for air traffic during the first phase did not exceed 1 8%, as was planned. The source added that in light of the spread of Corona virus strains in many countries, the provisions of the health system must be increased, by examining all arrivals in the country and reducing the number of arrivals.

He stated that the second phase, which was scheduled to start on February 1, included increasing the operational air traffic by no more than 60% so that the number of passengers does not exceed 20 thousand passengers per day, but that in light of the emergence of new strains of the Corona virus and not The commercial operation rates reached the set limit in the first phase. The second phase has been postponed until further notice.
