177 Violating Advertisements Were Removed

 The Municipal Services Audit and Follow-up Department in Capital Municipality launched an inspection campaign on commercial shops to ensure validity of licenses, during which 53 citations were issued and 177 violating advertisements were removed, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In a press statement, Director of the department Iman Al-Kandari said the campaign was aimed at curbing violations. She explained that the violations included display of unlicensed advertisements, non-renewal of licenses and lack of putting an identification advertisement on activities. Al-Kandari urged shop owners to renew expired advertisement licenses and avoid putting up advertisements without licenses.
