175 Stores Closed For Violating Precautionary Measures

Kuwait Municipality announced today, Monday, the closure of 175 shops in the Capital Governorate during the month of April for violating the precautionary measures to avoid the spread of the  Corona virus (Covid 19).
In a press statement, the municipality said that its supervisory teams had issued 352 various violations, as well as it had discovered 140,075 shops that varied between shops, cafes, salons, restaurants, groceries, central markets, livestock markets and fish to comply with the decision of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Health.

They explained that these monitoring tours are part of the efforts made by the municipality to confront the implications of the emerging Corona virus, based on the decisions of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Health within the precautionary and preventive measures taken by the municipality to avoid the spread of the new Corona virus.

It stated that the General Cleaning and Road Works Department washed and sterilized 52,560 containers of different sizes and moving baskets. It also put 2004 posters on neglected cars, lifted 95 neglected cars, and released 80 violations of the regulations for public cleanliness and waste transport.

It added that it had issued 37 violations of a street vendor, in addition to writing 91 pledges. It had also written 92 violations of the shop regulations 87/2015, and had received 770 communications and inquiries, and sent 11 warnings.

The municipality reported that the Engineering Licensing Department completed 103 transactions, while the Engineering Auditing and Follow-up Department put 13 labels on real estate in violation of Law No. 92/125, editing 6 research and investigation books, cutting off the current of 4 properties, restoring the current to 4 properties, and directing 6 pledges to evacuate.

She indicated that the Safety Department sent 34 warnings to safety regulations and issued a violation of safety regulations, in addition to dealing with 5 complaints
