For the New Year's holiday of 2023, Kuwait International Airport has raised its level of readiness to facilitate travel movements and meet the double momentum in departures and arrivals, reports Al-Qabas daily. In a recent report released by the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), 139,000 passengers are expected to use Kuwait Airport on 1,284 inbound and outbound flights.

A copy of the statistics obtained by the daily indicates that Dubai, Doha, Cairo, Istanbul, and Jeddah were the most popular destinations from December 29 to January 1, 2023. During this period, there were 642 outbound flights carrying approximately 78,000 passengers, compared to 642 inbound flights carrying approximately 61,000 passengers. Kuwait International Airport sources told Al-Qabas that operational plans coincide with holidays to ensure smooth passenger service.

A source said that the airport's operating system and devices were periodically checked to ensure normal movement without sudden congestion, especially during peak hours. To ensure that travelers are comfortable and that their departures and return to the country run smoothly, operating agencies work 24/7.
In addition to supporting other agencies at the airport, the work teams are expected to overcome all obstacles facing departing passengers. In addition to the Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways buildings, the distribution of passengers at the airport buildings, beginning with T1, has contributed to reducing congestion and pressure.

Among the measures taken to facilitate passenger movement are increasing the number of employees at gates and transit areas, providing support to work teams to overcome obstacles to travel, and equipping reception and departure halls.
