A 12-year old Kuwaiti child sustained injuries in the head and hand when he was hit by a speeding motorist in front of his family’s residence in Sulaibikhat area, says Al-Seyassah. A security source said rescue men went to the scene after the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received information about the incident and followed up when they learnt the motorist had already taken the boy to Sabah Hospital for treatment. While at the hospital, the motorist told officers the boy appeared on the road suddenly and he couldn’t help hitting him. A case was registered for investigation. Meanwhile, an Indian expatriate lodged a complaint at Jleeb Shuwaikh Police Station against the driver of a US-made vehicle who knocked him down and escaped.
