10 Shops Closed For Violating Corona Precautions

Kuwait Municipality announced today the closure of ten shops in the governorates of the capital and Ahmadi for violating the precautions to avoid the spread of the Corona virus emerging (Covid 19).
The head of the emergency team in the Capital Governorate branch, Zaid Al-Anzi, said in a press statement that the team closed seven administrative stores and freed seven violations, pointing out that 36 incoming reports were dealt with through the hotline.
Al-Enezi added that the team carried out several field trips to the shops, supermarkets and cooperative societies in the irrigation and shuwaikh regions to ensure compliance with administrative decisions (703, 709 and 710 for the year 2020).

He stated that the team made sure of the stores’ exceptions to the commitment of the municipal decisions and circulars issued in implementation of the decision of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Health to take precautionary and preventive measures to avoid the spread of the virus.
He pointed out that 24 violations were filed in cooperation with the workforce of the security points during the examination of the permits to deliver the request service to restaurants.

The statement pointed out that the teams concerned with removing violations and monitoring shops in Al-Ahmadi closed three administrative stores, and three violations were issued during the past 48 hours.
The municipality has called on citizens and residents to call the hotline (139) that works around the clock or communicate through the municipality’s accounts on social media or via WhatsApp (24727732) in case of any complaints related to the municipality
