An Iranian expatriate was arrested for impersonating as a Portuguese expatriate, and forging Portuguese passports for himself and his children in order to receive visas. In a press statement, the General Department of Public Relations and Security Media revealed that detectives received a report about the Iranian and clarified the information through Interpol that all the passports are not authentic. Based on this information, the Iranian was arrested. When they searched his house, they found 12 fake Portuguese passports, three Iranian passports and seven Kuwaiti passports of Article 17. The suspect has been handed over to the concerned authorities where necessary legal measures have been taken.
