Governor Says Workers' Cities Must Be Established Urgently

07 March 2022 Kuwait

During a field tour of the Qibla area, the Governor of the Capital, Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, issued a warning to a commercial property owner for breaking the law by building unlawful rooms, bathrooms, and kitchens.

In light of this, he urged "all concerned parties to establish cities for workers as soon as possible, in addition to addressing the imbalance in the demographic structure, which is overburdening state facilities and services and resulting in numerous environmental and security violations," stressing that "the governorate continues its campaigns in all regions." Many building problems in the governorate have been eliminated, he said, thanks to coordination with the relevant authorities.

During the tour, Governor Al-Khaled was accompanied by Zaid Al-Enezi, the leader of the emergency team of the capital governorate's municipality branch, as well as a number of officials from the governorate's general office.
