Fire Broke Out In A Store In Hawally
The Public Relations and Security Media Department received information that fire broke out in a store in Hawally. Firefighting teams were dispatched to the location and they doused the fire on the ground floor of the building which consists of 10 floors and a basement.
It was reported that the store, which is pre-fabricated and measures 800 square meters, contained a large quantity of utensils, appliances and clothes. Initial investigations revealed the owner of the store violated fire safety regulations. High-ranking officials were present during the fire-out operations, in addition to medical emergency workers and securitymen. No casualties or injuries were reported.
Meanwhile, fire engulfed a pile of fodder at a market in Rahiya and spread to an approximately 1000 square/meters area. Public Relations and Media Department of the General Fire Service Department stated a team of firemen was deployed to the scene immediately after the Operations Room received information about the incident, and they managed to contain the flames in a record time.
And, a minor fire erupted in the façade (exterior part) of the Avenues Mall Phase 3. According to a press statement issued by Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD), firefighters rushed to the location and managed to extinguish the fire in record time because those working in the mall had used fire extinguishers to control the fire before it spread further. The firefighting teams ensured that the fire was totally controlled. No casualties and material losses were recorded.
