Criminal Court Sentenced A Kuwaiti To 2 Years Imprisonment For Blackmailing Married Woman

The Court of Appeals has upheld the verdict of the Criminal Court and sentenced a Kuwaiti to 2 years imprisonment with hard labor and fined him KD 1,000 for blackmailing a married woman and threatening to tarnish her reputation, reports Annahar daily. Case papers indicate that the defendant sent two photos of the woman to her brother from his cell telephone and threatened to post them on the Internet.

Woman threatened: Police are looking for three youths for threatening to kill a Kuwaiti woman, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added the suspects were armed with a stun gun and knives. When the woman called the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior, police rushed to the spot but failed to find the suspects. The woman has given police description and details of one of the suspects, who earlier had a dispute with the complainant. She added, she accidentally met the suspects in a public place and the trio threatened to harm.
